Sensible-VR was founded by an educator who spent decades trying to describe places he'd never been able to take his students. The solution wasn't a field trip budget. It was immersive learning.
Rooted in Shiga Prefecture, Sensible-VR is proudly Japanese-Canadian. We carry forward the spirit of the Ōmi Shōnin (近江商人), the legendary merchants who built trusted relationships across Japan while remaining deeply connected to their communities.
Their philosophy of Sanpo Yoshi (三方よし)—good for the seller, good for the buyer, and good for society—continues to guide how we conduct business today.
We combine these traditional Japanese values with modern Canadian thinking: practical, open-minded, inclusive, and willing to challenge convention. Sensible-VR brings these two perspectives together to build responsible technology, create lasting value, and connect people across cultures.
